Hi all

I just got the bike, with 12,500miles on the mph speedo but only 5 years history and needs tidying.

Hi Drewsky

Fitted new rear tyre, chain & sprockets. Air filter was clapped out and dirty too. Next thing, change the coolant. Quite comfy and handles well but managed to get an old seat to rebuild the foam and try to spread the load  Grin

Great fun on local roads but I try to avoid the motorway. Don't they run out of petrol quickly! onto reserve at 80 miles, but maybe there is poor flow - it was nearly out when last filled up but next time we'll see how much fuel was used...

Regards

Crist Chris you're gettin a seriously low fuel consumption from your bike, it'd be worth lookin at the fueling system i usually get 180km's out of mine before i have to hit reserve, i'f i'm goin hell for leather i'll have to hit reserve at 150 km but now less than that. anyway enjoy the bike and welcome to the world of the -1

Well the (mph) speedo milometer reading seems to be reasonably accurate and it apparently did 53mpg (imp).

So maybe it was virtually empty when the tank was topped up before, and the reserve needed replenishing.

Hi Cb Starter, yes this is a great forum with valuable help Smiley

However this post is just a subject in the 'Photo Gallery' topic, see the heading above which shows where you are:
"HondaCB1.org Message Forums > General Category > Photo Gallery > Re: CB-1 in UK"

Sorry I cannot offer help myself but if you introduce yourself or ask in General Category > Tech Corner there is a very good chance someone will help you

Regards
Chris
