http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CBR-CBR400-NC29-SWINGARM-ARM-GULLARM-BABYBLADE-/120586240730?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item1c138002da
Spend the money you would have spent on powder on spacers instead, give this a clean up, and get it in. It's alloy, so can't be rusty.
Or if you're feeling cheaper how about
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Honda-CBR400-NC23-swingarm-1104-/280495879443?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item414edb7513
Since you're budgeting new bearings anyway, you'll probably find ball bearings to fit (
www.simplybearings.co.uk
) and just need to make up a new needle bearing roller.

I
did
think about a different swinger but I'm not sure the stock CB-1 arm is all that bad, and if I did it just for looks, there's a lot more other jobs that deserve the funds first, like getting the frame painted and the panels tidied up.
Maybe on the other bike if/when I get round to it
You got any drawings for the spacers etc Morti?
Must admit, I've gone off braced arms a bit and have been looking a the NSR MC16 and MC18 for donors.

all info is still on line here:

I'd be happy of someone copies it to this forum as that ones dead and will disappear in the end.
I think it won't cost much to do when compared to refinishing the original, it's nice to have a project going
