I have a line on a grey market exhaust, in stainless. Mine is north american OEM and black. Is swapping them out going to screw with the jetting on my bike or are these exhausts the same only one looks cool?

thanks

If you install the stainless exhaust you will have to spend huge sums of money running the bike on a dyno to get the jetting correct. Don't waste your money on it. Ship it off to me and I will make do as best I can using it. Grin

Bolt it on and run it, the jetting is exactly the same in both. Tongue

very funny.... thanks. Any idea of what a fair price would be? I am hoping I can get it for under a 100 bucks as the person with it, has a standard one and the stainless one, both for bikes she doenst have any more, I think she used to race them and she said she took them off of her bikes to replace them with a 2 brothers exhaust. plus i am a poor and cheap! not a good combo

If in good nick 100 bucks is very cheap and would be ripping her off, i sold one with a dent and scratch for 150 euro.

I dont want to rip anyone off, but a good deal is hard to find these days. She also has another black exhaust and a tail section she wants rid of as well.

If she used to race I'm sure she will know what is fair to her.

exactly. she has a tonne of parts that she says are a pain in the ass and she is in a condo and they are in storage. I know the feeling when getting rid of the kids toys and clothes etc, when you're done with them, the 'want it gone' factor plays a part in price.

Anyway, the black exhaust will be cheap as well if anyone is interested i can pick it up and ship it to you.

You think you could talk her into making a list of the parts she has, and posting that list on here? You know, since parts are so hard to come by this days... Wink

the list is as follows:

levers(type and condition unknown) and "other bits and pieces" she said, I told her I would take all the bits and pieces, and will list here when I get them
tail section(condition as yet unknown)
black OEM exhaust
stainless OEM exhaust
seat(condition unknown)

and of course my exhaust will be up for sale when i get the stainless one. Mine is in excellent shape, but its black.

Absolutly not in a hurry, I have an exhaust, it works fine, but it looks as if it had been used as a weapon by a Universal Soldier in a fight. Grin

cote, are you still interested in my black exhaust? i will post a picture if you are. She also has a tail section and a seat (with a small tear in it) I was thinking about buying the seat and having it redone a little fancier than stock, with butt gel in there etc, and then keeping the stock seat to maintain the value.
