2500 mls return trip to Barcelona, Spain. from Cheshire UK.
IT never missed a beat, 55mls to a UK Gallon. 20 Hrs non stop (except for fuel) on the way back, at over 10,000 rpm. What a cool bike.

Looking good, reminds me of mine. I moved house from Portsmouth (England) with a year's worth of stuff to Wilhelmshaven, Germany. Not as far as your ride though, that's epic.

Though it's not really touring if you don't stop anywhere on the way!

Took two days to ride down there, Stopped overnight in Orlean, nice place, was in a hurry to get home work next day.
Made the rack at work with help from Leon the welder, He's got a cb-1 aswell.
Only other mods are heated grips and replaced the fuel pump with a faucet one.

If there's any way you could post up the design you used and the specs to make the rack and how you attatched it i would be grateful i've been playing around with making one myself but it's getting the measurements and actually designing it that keeps getting in my way. I can get my uncle to weld everything together and choppin and bendin the metal wouldn't be a problem either

If it helps, mine started life as a full luggage rack from German mfg Hepco und Becker, which I chopped up into just a topbox rack.

Pictures scattered about this album.
