In the UK I would trust these guys:

It's seriously easy to change on the CB-1. Tank off, airbox off, you can see the cable then. Just remove and replace. You will need to split the switchgear cluster too, just be careful to get the loacting pin correct on the handlebar, it's relatively fragile. Adjustment is crude, just slide the bottom end within its clamp before tightening.

I've gotten the choke cable off it wasn't hard like you said, if I don't find one I'll have to rig one up it shouldn't be to hard to do.

If you can wander around a breaker's yard I am sure you would find something which would fit. Alternatively the cable from something like an early Blade would work if you fitted it on a bracket like on that bike.

Not many people seem to do it now but we used to repair cables all the time, either with a soldered nipple or the solderless ones with the little screw on the side. Because of the way the choke outer cable fastens on the carbs, it'll make it easier.

Looks a lot like the size of a bicycle cable. Wonder if that could offer a cheap fix?

Any of these any use?

If you tighten the screw up while holding the nipple in a vice, then saw off the remaining thread you might be able to sort it.
