What you got? and how much?! You know it'd go to a good home! I was already scheming on fitting an RR swingarm and upping the brakes on whatever -1 I get.
I think he wants about 400 for it but if you can get the last one for it's start price, you'd be much better off. Ours runs well but really needs a good refurb. It's had a couple of winters under it's belt and the frame is starting to look a bit rough. Swingarm is the same. It's still got one black fork leg and a silver one after you let me have that one to replace the bust one.
I'd totally forgotten about that fork leg!
400 is a good price for a running CB-1 (with T+T?) whether or not it's shabby. I would probably look to refurb any CB-1 I buy anyway, so in a way it makes more sense for me to get -1 which needs it rather than -1 which doesn't.
I will get back to you once that first auction is finished. I might stretch a bit further for that one for the fact it does look really well looked-after.

Good luck with that one. I saw that last night and thought it looked good too. Mine maybe for sale at a later date, very begrudgingly!
But I doubt it!
Only thing I'm trying to do at the mo is jack the back up a bit more (already has blackbird shock in it!)

I already have a line on a pair of CBR400 wheels, and dual discs will be around the corner too.

I will let you trailblaze on that one mate!
First trick is a pair of 6-spoke wheels and some better brakes. The one thing I could have put fault to on the CB-1 was the brakes. Sorted it on my last one, and will do so again on this one.
What do we think... similar set up as last time with the brembo caliper on an adapter and a single disc, or some twin discs? I am thinking firestorm forks, CBR600RR calipers (gold) and suitable master, pref with built in reservoir as the separate bottles tend to look awful on naked bikes.
On the one hand I like the simplicity of the single disc method, but then the adapter plate always looked a bit.. meh. Suppose could always see how it stopped with one 4-pot nissin caliper, potentially that gets the best of all worlds.

How about these:-
http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e104364859
If it's within your budget, I can always pick you up a set of MC21 forks.
I've just bought an immaculate Ducati Front end that I'm hoping will fit without too much of a struggle on the Yamaha, at £230, it was surprisingly cheap. That has Brembo calipers discs and wheel.

That's a lot of bits for £230, well done!
My plan is currently Firestorm Forks, CBR400 front wheel and discs, and Nissin calipers. There are loads that fit, my favourite being the ones from an 03-05ish CBR600RR, as far as I am aware these have aluminium pistons so should last more or less forever, giving better performance on the way. Your brembo pistons will also be teflon coated alloy, btw, if like in my old brembo caliper.
With the VTR forks, I might try and keep the adjustable internals, or might just use the fork sliders for the brake caliper mounts, depends what I get cheap and what I can make work.

Well done on your latest purchase! Looks a peach! I'm intrigued about the vtr front end tho. I'm currently trying to find a vfr800 rear shock in an attmept to jack up the rear end further.
