Trying to gauge if there is any interest in a tool that makes it easy to use vapor recovery fuel nozzles.
I know that they are in use in CA, but don't know where else.
The tool I came up with is the same a size as your drivers license/gas card and will fit in your wallet.
It's easy to use and makes filling up a cinch.
Yes I know that they are already out there, but I'd like to think that mine is better than the others and cheaper to boot, i.e. $5.00 shipped.

Ok, this is new to me. Living up here in the frozen north we probably don't have any fuel vapour (oops vapor according to my American spellcheck Tongue). We just buy frozen cubes of gas and throw them in the heated tank to melt. JK

Do all your pumps have the sealing rubber? I assume from the pics that you have to hold the rubber piece compressed to allow fuel flow? So you slide the seal back, install the tool in a slot on the nozzle and then can hold it up to allow seeing the filling of the tank?

The tool you have made is very simple and compact although I don't know if I would want to keep it in my wallet after it is exposed to the gas. Cheesy

Good luck with the sales. I would be interested to hear where all this type of nozzle is in use. I suspect that in the not too distant future we will be all using some form of the same filler nozzle.

I know we have them all over California and I juts sold two two a chap in Brooklyn NY.
In between those two I don't know.

The only gas it's exposed to is what may splash during the filling process and is easily wiped off if necessary.
I keep mine in the right side sleeve pocket of my Aerostich suit where it's lived a comfortable life for over three years now.

It's possible that it will show up all over the place, if so, I'm ready.

The biggest annoyance while filling up here in the UK, (for me at least), is having to take your lid off Angry The next one is being told to get off the cell phone when it rings before you might blow everyone up Roll Eyes

Good luck, I want to read about the "Gas Card Millionaire" in a few months Wink The inventor of road "Cats Eyes" is reknown in the UK as being your archetypal "get rich through a good idea" man and all round entrepeneur.

When I got my first road bike, I can remember filling up where the guy that served you constantly had a roll-up cigarette in his mouth - sometimes it had gone out and sometimes it was still lit  Shocked
