Anyone know where I can find the tank rubber pieces that mount on the left and rights sides?  Circled in the picture attached.

Thanks!

Gary

Hi,
If you can't find them on e-bay or someone breaking a "1" www.cmsnl.com have one, thats if left and right side are the same or oem 17517-kaf-000 and 17516 are the same, cost is €6.50 they only seem to have one.
Hope this helps

I just checked and left and right side are not the same. There is a small tab on the lower end of each that would prevent them from being reversed to the opposite side. They would look slightly different from side to side. As CB1pat said, only one is still available. The other will have to be found from a bike being broken for parts.

Welcome to the world of NLA parts. Sad Good luck in your search for the tank rubbers.

I figured as much.  The bike is complete except for the tank rubber pieces now that I found the front covers.  What were these for anyway?  I can't see a real function on my bike as the tank is lifted from the frame naturally.  Anyway, thanks for the assistance, this site and it's members have proven to be very helpful!   Now if the darn weather would break I could finally ride....

Thanks,

Gary

They hold it tight without lateral movement. Handy, when you are dipping into a curve and want to grip the tank with your knees.

Ok, now I'm confused  Huh Huh Where does the third rubber go?? There is a rubber grommet on the front single bolt mount but it sure doesn't look like what he has listed..  gtvermillion: looks like you should try to grab these if he will send them over. Shouldn't cost too awful much to mail the tank rubbers.

Just wanted to update everyone.  I received the tank rubbers in good order and fast!  I appreciate everyone's assistance with locating parts for this bike.  I now have everything to make it complete.  Going for fresh paint this week.  Will post pictures when it's done.

Thanks again!

Did you get the tank rubbers?  Where'd you get them?  Can you point me in the right direction?  I've been restoring an '89 model since January 2010.  Tank Rubbers are hard to find.
