hi everyone!
how are you all keeping?
finally got a mate to help me try and fix my non functional temp gauge yesterday.
well it was all bad news,as usual Angry !
we still couldn't figure out why the gauge is dead.and in the act we checked the fan, while bike was semi disassembled.
turns out that it is seized solid Huh.and to add insult to injury, couldn't remove it either, since it turns out that bottom tab
has snapped off.got one other top nut off but the other one is stripped and will never come off at all.

so i'm in need of a fan or better still radiator/fan combo.

any of you chaps have either one (gwo) for sale?

I have a whole assy in portsmouth. I gave £60+post through eBay and it turned out I didn't have a leaky radiator, just a loose coolant hose.

Make me an offer?

my mate and i will try and cut off the seized fan, this weekend(if we get a chance).
if we get it off we are going to see what caused the seisure.
will let you know, what the outcome is and then go from there.
good to know you two have a rad and fan!

Since the CB-1 doesn't typically run very hot, it might have just rusted up and seized internally. Or the windings of the motor might have fried.

The other thing to look at - I've made the mistake myself - is that you can accidentally tap the drive pin in too far, this seizes the fan blade. If you are lucky it might unseize. I am not sure how this would happen during normal use though, I don't think it would.

Be very careful removing it or you might bust the radiator, then you'll definitely be needing the rad off me!

hi again all!
first of all SORRY FOR NON COMUNICATION,SINCE MY POST.
a lot of shit going on.
anyway, finally got round to cutting the fan off, last weekend.
took 3+ hours to cut off, first with anglegrinder(but no room)
then painstakingly with hacksaw blade and pliers.
turns out fan was rusted solid and totally seized inside( Shocked how the hell did you know, amorti???)
and contacts corroded.this fan hasn't been functional for a long time!!that's a worry since i don't know
the cause.

so,if any of you still have a radiator&fan,i'm after the complete thing,so i can just replace it.
please let me know how much you want for it.can pay straight away.

thanks in advance!

I've still got the one I bought from eBay. It's still in the packing it came to me in, I haven't even opened it.
