hey there,

My engine cut out after pulling the clutch in when i was in fifth gear the other day. it has happened a few more times recently and have narrowed it down to it occuring when there is constant throttle at high revs and then pulling the clutch in. the revs then drop as expected but all the way to 0, it doesnt idle at all and just cuts out. otherwise everything else is fine I have noticed it being a bit unresponsive too, but it might just be me getting paranoid. does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this???

thanks!!

Have you cleaned your carbs lately? Possibly clogged jets.

Dirty fuel filter or non-working fuel pump causing inadequate supply or what Dave said.

According to the manual tickover should be at 1300rpm +/- 100rpm.

This is surprisingly high for a lot of people who are accustomed to car engines idling more like 800rpm. Turn the black tickover adjuster nob, under the tank to the left, until the tickover is set as intended, this should resolve your issue.
