If you want a new one then you're out of luck. This was still showing available until a month ago, but it's now gone NLA.

I think Drewski is hoarding a NOS part, but you'll have a hard time parting him from it especially since they are on the list with sump gaskets as now officially rare as hen's teeth.

The other choice is to do what I did - pick the chrome off, fill the scratches with body filler, smooth off, and paint. Not as good as new, but quite possibly the only option left, since that part is now NLA.

There was/is a fellow on here who was selling Nylon covers that looked pretty slick, if you're not too hard up on keeping it stock.

Yup, this is very true Grin I've never seen another new one anywhere, I think CMSNL still have them listed as "available" but they have a few NLA parts down as available so that doesn't mean much. They're so bloomin fragile, I daren't even fit this one to the bike. I'm looking into getting a few machined out of ally..........there's also places on line where, if you supply a decent CAD drawing, they can knock them up out of any material, including plastic, which you can now get chromed.

Sorry, I don't think I'd ever be able to replace it. I'm having some billet ones made up but I'm not sure that they'll have the "Honda" on them yet. Watch this space.
