Replacement Billet Crank End Cap Covers

I'm talking to a friend of mine about fabricating some R/H Crank End Covers. The idea is to make them to look exactly like the OEM part but CNC machined out of aircraft grade billet ally, instead of plastic and including the "Honda" logo.
He's estimated cost at about £30 each for a run of 10 and I wil sell on at cost. As most of you have found out, the original ones are very hard to find and are so flimsy that they soon look scruffy.
Is it something anyone might be interested in?
I know about Bubba, anyone else? Please only say you want one if you mean it, I've done this before and a few peiple said they were interested but then vanished when it came to time to get their hands in theior pockets
Morti - do you think it's worth mentioning it on the German forum?
Thanks guys, I originaly asked my mate to just make one for me but he said that he might as well knock a few out while the lathe is set up. It'd be nice to get 20 done, I can tick any leftover ones on The Big Bad Bay.

Count me in for one Drewski. I got what is probably one of the last new plastic ones on mine but the chrome starts to flake on them fairly quickly so I would put it away if you have these made.

You can try at the german forum.
There was also a Guy makinc CNC ones but I don't know if he's doing them any more.
I got mine (a Set of 3 Pieces - without Honda-Logo) for a Box of Beer from another Source ( but tis is unfortunally not available anymore)
At the Picture is a little bit dust on it...
BtW.: What's 30Pound in € I think the Price most of the German want to pay is around 50€ over all.

That's looking awesome, Falk.

Can someone help me out here - I've sent the new OEM cover to my mate in Switzerland to copy. Just in case it doesn't arrive in time, can anyone furnish me with a drawing of the cover showing all relative dimensions? Top and bottom diameters, thickness, hole diameters, (and if they are spread out evenly), and the notch for the timing hole.
My friend makes tools for making watches so these will be top quality and, once polished, will look just like the original.

I think 35€ is a good Price - I'm pretty sure you will sell some at the german Forum if shipping is not so expensive...

Mhhm I think you have to modiy the dimensions , when I remember correctly there was something because it's Aluminium and not Plastic anymore...
I'll ask the Guy who made the CAD-Drawing for mine last time and see if he can send this to me...

I've just been talking to Nick in Switzerland and he's not sure if he can make the "Honda" logo exactly the same as it's a specific type set.
How about having "CB-1" on there? Or "Honda" in a different type set?
Opinions please?
