well, weather was nice today and had to go out on the Bike(not CB-1),today,to do some things anyway.
so once all the chores were taken care off,i decided to ride down to 'Shoreham Harbour'.it's a nice little road right by the Sea and there is a nice cafe/restaurant,right at the end of it(a dead end).idea being that i would have lunch there, since i haven't been there for about 10 years.
i'm enjoying my ride out,am on the harbour road, nearing the end of the road and the Cafe.then suddenly bike starts cutting out and i'm thinking' What The Hell Is Going On Here'!! (i must add,THIS BIKE IS 100% RELIABLE!).at this point i have my suspicions(i'm thinking' I HOPE THE TANK AIN'T EMPTY').unlikely, since i checked it only an hour ago,to make sure i have enough Petrol to get there&back safely.
well, once i get to the place,i park up and check the tank again, sure enough it is indeed BONE DRY!SHOCK HORROR!!

nothing i can do for now,so i go in,order lunch and enjoy the food but in the back of my mind dreading the ineviteble, once i finish my lunch.
of course, once i'm all done i have a 'nice' push ahead of me.2 ish miles to the nearest petrol station to be exact! Sad
FUCK THAT!
and then only to be greated by our exuberant petrol charges! £8.23 for 6 litres!daylight robbery indeed!
well,i suppose it was a nice day for it.

Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes you're the fire hydrant.  Grin  Could have been worse, it might NOT have just been out of fuel.  Undecided

You hardly used a full tank of petrol in one hour? you may have aleak somewhere maybe, went out for a spin with two mates one in a car (thankfully) one on a hornet six, he's a bit of a mental head case and is one of the people i strongly advise theh IQ test prior to buying a litre bike, anyway we both stop and fill up at the same time both do the same amount of miles at roughly the same speed, (country roads in ireland, he's not that thick) halfway home he splutters out of petrol and i check my tank, half full, i say "that's odd your tanks nearly twice the size of mine" we fill up again and stop for some food, get back tot eh bikes bout an hour and a half later, chat chat chat, i say "thats funny T, your bikes drippin somethin" what'dya know his tanks bust somewhere under the mounting bracket. That's what you get for coming out of EVERY corner doin wheelies. he also bust both his fork seals. he's now looking to sell the hornet 6 and buy a cbr 6. He's a nice guy just a bit mental.

 Cheesy
wow!his tank was actually leaking then.bummer!
my tank wasn't full but should have been plenty to get to the place and back twice over, easily.
GUESS IT WASN'T afterall Angry .definately isn't leaking either.
and TRUE! could have been worse than running out of Petrol but as i said, the bike is 100% reliable.

Grin It's a brave man who states on a public forum that ANYTHING is 100% reliable! (or is that just me being superstitious?)
