Found this site http://www.hondacb1.com/ with a CB1 that had a single sided swing arm. Lets see, I have a Cb1 and I also have a complete VFR750 swing arm. Sounds like a project in the making to me.

I tried emailing the address on the web site, but no reply. It is time to rebuild my bike anyway. It does not run well and is cosmetically challenged. I figure to take my time and go all out on it for fun. This is going to be the bike I keep forever so I want to have a lot of fun with it. Of all the bikes I have owned, the CB1 is by far the funnest. I raced one back int he late 90's and won two championships with it. Now I have one for the road and will just keep it to enjoy and play around with.

So getting back to the SSSA. The CB1 frame appears to be strong enough to handle the swing arm. It has the nice stiff cross brace at the bottom. So I figure my biggest challenge will be basically to get it all lined up properly.  Anyone have tips for me to help with this installation? I figure the best choice for a shock would be one that would be used on a VFR since it would already be setup for a linked suspension system. Any thoughts on that one? I also want to put the exhaust can on the left side. I like the open wheel look on the right like I had with my race NC30. My front end is from an F2 and I was thinking of replacing it with a GSXR750 front end with upside down forks. I like the looks of those. I want to keep the bike naked, but I wouldlike to figure out a way to put a solo tail section on it but keep the stock seat.

Anyway, it will be a slow project, but I think it will be a lot of fun.

I own a 1989 CB-1 with a GSXR 750 front end. USD forks and triple clamps with 4 pot nissin calipers and dual disc.
My email is bgenis@aol.com.
I can email you some photos just sent me an email with the CB-1 in the subject line and I will know it's not spam.
