I've only had my CB-1 for about a month but it has fast become one of my favorite bikes!  Last week I finally got rid of the PO's tires (a Dungflop on the front and a Kenda Cruiser on the rear!) and fitted new Michelin Pilot Powers along with a new X-ring chain.  PO's chain looked like he had used tar for a lube, just awful crap to deal with!

I've broken in the Michelins and have found they stick like glue to our mountain roads.  I can lean the CB-1 over about as far as I'm comfortable and it just pulls through the corners with ease.  Just a real hoot to ride on twisty roads.  I also installed new EBC HH disc pads all around since the rear pads were literally paper thin: don't think they had ever been changed with 18,000 original miles.  Bike now stops like you've tossed out an anchor.

Last week I went all the way up to Mount Baker where there is still a ton of snow (round trip ride of about 100 miles).  The normal lakes/ponds up there are completely snowcovered so there aren't as many good picture backgrounds available.  Still, I took some photos where I could.

Hope the rest of you are able to get out and enjoy your CB-1's as much as I have lately.

Eric

Where are you located? I have been thinking of doing a Mt Baker ride myself for awhile, but never seem to find the time.

I'm in the Bellingham/Ferndale area.  We should gather the CB-1's in our area for a get together and some photos.

I'd be up for that. There are a couple of guys that I know of around here who have -1's. One in Abbotsford, Whistler, and another in Victoria, problem is just trying to get everyone together at the same time! My days off rotate so if you have days off during the week and want to go for a rip let me know, I can come and meet you somewhere.
