I used some neoprene pipe which came from Wemoto http://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/RH-FLN005_8/ which did do quite well, its more flexible than the usual stuff but you still needed a longer piece with a more gentle bend. Can't remember which size I used, I know I ordered one size first which was a little bulky ao replaced it with the next size down which worked ok. Hope that helps.

when mine gives up the ghost I plan to use 17.4mm od 9.5 mm id single braid wire hydraulic hose, should cope with bends without inner collapse or deformity..

This was my fix for the fuel line. Just went to local racing supplier and got -6 AN Hard fuel filter and two fittings. One 180 degree and one straight 3/8 barb. About 40$ total for a line and filter that will never fail. It fits in the space well and I just run a soft line from the tank to the Barb.  Might seem expensive but with todays gas hard line is always the best bet.  Smiley
