tri arm forks

can any 1 tell me if  the cbr 400rr tri arm front forks fit my cb1 400. thanks ryan would like twin discs

Do not know about the CBR400RR, but I can tell you That the CBR600F2/F3 forks will slide right into the -1's triple trees. Have a set on my bike right now.

Just make sure that when you are changing out the forks that you measure from the wheel center to the top triple tree so you will get the new forks at the same spot so your steering won't change. Then you can go ahead and mess around with raising the forks to see how it effects your steering and find what works best for you.

Glad I could be of help to you.

I may be able to be of more help to you if you live in the states and are not in a big hurry to get your forks installed.

See, I am rebuilding my CB1. Sometime at the end of summer I will have a complete set of F3 forks available for sale. Included will be the wheel, rotors, brake calipers and forks.

I will also have the rear swing arm available that uses an F2 rear wheel. Included here is the swing arm, wheel and brakes.

I will also have a stock set of CB1 carbs available.

I am going a bit overboard with my CB1, but it is my all time favorite bike and I plan on keeping it forever as my commuter bike. So I am having fun with it.

Any 41mm forks will slide in as mentioned, you can also throw on the complete fork assemblies from the f2/f3 and the 929/954, easier and you'll just have to get a fatter rear tire to compensate for the front. If you're going to tear into the front suspension throw in a pair of tapered steering bearings. They make the steering feel like a brand new bike.

Pretty easy, just take a drill and put as many holes as you desire in the space around the exhaust hole. I only have two I didn't want to make a mess of it. I saw an improvement in throttle response so it was worth it.
