The last time I had the CB-1 only insured it was £53 TPFT Grin With the VFR it's £209 Sad Insurance has shot up here in the UK recently, it's hard work finding a decent premium nowadays Angry

Interesting TV doc recently highlighting how insurance companies waste millions on legal procedures. Everyones quick to blame foreign drivers, bike and car theives, dangerous drivers etc but the companies just charge what the hell they want. it'd be nice to see some nationalised insurance company, similar to the National Insurance system for health.

Hi all.

When Insured my -1 I put it on my classic bike policy with my other four bikes costing £35 to add, total being £140 for five bikes. The policy is fully comprehensive, with U.k and european break down cover. What makes it cheaper is having all of them garaged over night, having 13 years claim free riding, living in a comparitively low rise area, and being 49 years old,and one I all most forgot being in an owners club which gives a discount .Limiting the risk to the insurance brings the cost down!!! I'm jealous! I live in Toxteth (2 riots in 30 years!) its the safest place I've ever parked a vehicle (great neighbours) but my address may as well read "Helmand Province", thankfully I have a lock up garage about 5 miles away as I don't use my -1 for work at the moment  Cry so at least she's nice and dry, the down side is I can't just 'fiddle' whenever I want, but I do get to 'escape' from time to time!
I pay about £200 TPFT with breakdown cover.
