I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do you know if your bike is low on fuel?

thanks,

You'll need to ride enough to gauge how much gas you're using.  My CB-1 averages about 50 mpg so far and with a 2.5 gallon tank I plan on gassing up at around 100 miles or so.  Only riding and keeping track of your mileage will give you an idea of when to fuel up.

Most cb-1's get about 100 miles or 160km from full to reserve. If you are riding it "like you stole it" it can go as low as 60 miles 100 km.

The fuel petcock is lever sideways off, lever down run and lever up reserve. When the bike seems to be losing power and starts slowing, switch to reserve. After riding it for awhile you will become familiar with how far your riding style will allow you on a tank.

Mine starts to splutter between 85-95 miles from full, just make sure its not on reserve or you'll be walking!!

I use the high tech method of waggling the bike side-to-side and listening to the sloshing noise. Tongue

Left hand  of bottom of tank you maybe getting confused by the term, "Petcock" it is after all, just a petrol tap with an extension to bring it to an acceptable position............
