Yeh ! my fan works.......

was a bit concerned with new bike, that it was getting too hot and not noticed fan working.........well long ride today and temp guage never went behond half way and fan came on now and then as it was very hot (weather today ) bike was like a rocket too    just a bit tricky to start sometimes even from hot, unless i open the throttle a fair bit first then push the starter..........wakes folks up !

I found that a coolant change worked wonders for my fan. When I first got the bike the fan didn't seem to cut in.
If you haven't already done it, drain your coolant and replace it with fresh (I used distilled water/antifreeze 50/50 mix)
I found the engine ran much smoother and the fan cuts in when you get up to about 2/3rds on temp guage.

thanks for that, i think the coolent was fairly new from what previous owner said, but if it plays up again will do cheers. I did replace a broken earth wire that bolts on to the top of the rad, but don't think that would have been the cause ?
