Hi,

There is a odor of fuel coming from the bike while it is parked in my garage.  Is this normal?

It runs well with 8K miles.

Thanks in advance.

I get vapour odour mainly if temp is warm, or after a run with the vent of the tank being low, then this is normal..obviously check for any weeps, best way give her a blast to get warm and then touch float bowls, petrol pipe union ends watch as theirs not allot of room for hands/fingers with a hot engine and c/cases, or put on main stand and put some toilet/kitchen paper under carbs and leave for a while, any leaks will be apparent.

Thanks for the tips.

I found a small amount of fuel on the garage floor, on teh left side of the bike.  I traced fuel up the speedo cable towards teh carbs.  All the lower clamps on the carbs were loose - fuel was weeping out.

I tightened everything up and I think everything should be good.   Smiley

might have a leaking float needle. Open your oil filler cap to see/smell if there's petrol in your oil. If so, time to pull the arbs to repair the floats and change the oil
