Pulled my carbs and fitted new 38 pilots and 110 mains, reinstalled carbs and synched them using vacuum manifold first, followed by water-tube manometer for final settings.  Carb #4 was way off which was giving me that off-idle roughness noticeable in my Beet exhaust videos.  Funny thing is, idle is now a little rougher with some hunting up/down but once you touch the throttle everything is smooth as glass.  I was happy to see my float bowls were clean as new with no other work necessary.

Put everything back together and went for a good ride up into the mountains.  Have to take advantage of every dry day from now on until the first frost/freezes occur and mountain riding will be off limits.  Motor runs very smooth, power is seamless and pull is very good.  Not sure what effect the larger jets will have but with the new Beet exhaust I figured a bit of extra fueling wouldn't hurt.  No flat spots or hesitation anywhere all the way up to 13.5k.  Very happy with the results from the jets and synch.

Returned to my garage in the afternoon and flushed the front brakes since the fluid was looking a bit darker than I like.  Only have the rear brake to flush and then I'll be through changing all the fluids that were in the bike when I bought it.

Just love riding this little screamer!!  Couple of pics in the hills.

Thanks!  I'm lucky that the PO took good care of her.  Only bike I've bought that I haven't had to do much to, either mechanically or cosmetically.  Can't help smiling when I ride this little beast!
