Inside of valve cover signed/engraved?

Hello gang. While breaking down this CB-1 that launched a rod, I noticed there is an engrave date and name inside the rocker cover...anyone know what that's about? Indicating when valves were adjusted?

Hey Bill,

Maybe you got the guy's name who F'ed it up to make it launch the rod.  No guarantees of financial compensation though 

Btw, sorry about not responding to your email, glad to hear you got the -1 running really well.  Carbs were never my thing, hence my switch to FI.

I'll have to double check the sig - dated 1992 though...sorry I haven't responded to these, appears I did subscribe to thread (bonehead me). No, it doesn't say Soichiro....hehe.

Rode her 85 miles today - lot of 80 mph plus sustained. Great little bike. I'll be keeping her.
