Recently purchased a used set of carbs from a member here and discovered 2 of the mixture screws are missing.  Honda no longer sells them and without them I can't use the carbs.  Hoping someone has some junk carbs laying around and can provide the screws for a reasonable price.

If I can find them, I have a set somewhere that have been stripped of the jets but should still have the mixture screws. I'll check when I'm dwon the lock-up next.

It's bad and not so bad news I'm afraid Eric. I havn't found the carbs that have had the jets removed but should still have the mixture screws. however, I did find a set of carbs that I had completely forgotten about. They're a set I bought for pennies from Japan a while back, (with the intention to strip and restore), that probably owe me about £50 with post. If I break them up, I should just about be able to get that back...eventualy. Something I could do, if it'll help, is loan you the two mixture screws until I decide wether to keep the carbs whole and restore or strip them for parts. Post would be about £0.95 GBP.

Any of that make sense? Grin

I know the feeling Eric as they are often seized - a full set of carbs went on UK Ebay for just £11 a few days ago (I bid £10.50) so they do turn up.

Drewski: Thanks for the kind offer but I plan on fitting this rack of carbs on a spare motor I have sitting around and wouldn't want to remove the mixture screws later on.  Any chance you can find that old set of carbs one of these Days?

I'll keep looking but what chaps my ass is that I paid good money ($75) for this "complete" set of carbs from a member here.  If he had told me the carbs were missing critical pieces I never would have bought them.  Tried to contact him but he's not replied to my message and I'm still considering filing a Paypal dispute.  Don't want to bother with that if I can get the screws elsewhere.

Cheers guys.
