Welcome to HondaCB1.org
«
on:

Well, I've done it. I setup the site. After finding a number of old and dated sites for the CB-1, I decided to make one myself. The most important part of this site being this message forum. The forum at hondacb1.com is not working and my many attempts to contact the owner of that site have gone unanswered. So.....the birth of this site begins today. Welcome!

Oh yeah. Over the next few days I'll be adding more and more content to the site. It's a little thin right now, but I'll get it going.

Thanks for putting up this site. I too miss the forum section of the other site. Even if we could access it in an archived/reference state, it would be invaluable. I wonder what happened to those guys?
Anyway, I'm glad that this site is here and I plan to contribute.

Welcome! Yeah, the other site was pretty useful. I don't know why the forum is shutdown. Perhaps it became a burdon upon it's owners, who knows?! I would have gladly taken it over for them but all my emails to go unanswered. No matter. Lets get this one going! Thanks.

being a member of cb-1.com,also, i feel your pain on the site. sometimes their site just gets freaked or something. maybe too many people on at once overshoots their server capabilities. i definitely appreciate having a place to talk about the -1 and get helpful info.

Hey, you're welcome! Yeah, it seemed like all the other ones were getting dated. I hope to keep this one up for awhile and keep it updated. Welcome to the site.

I need my fix.
That's way I am here. If you been on the other site. I am the slave to the Butt Ugly project
. The bike is slowly changing the way I want it to. I would like to keep everybody updated on my trials & errors

Butt Ugly was a freebee given to me by a co-worker.
The bike started out in the mild west. When the plates ran out in '91, they ran it thru the corn fields, and creeks out there.
He then got a job here in Pa., and the bike came with him. Then he got a another job in Ar. Lefted the bike with another co-worker. And it sat for along time. The gas tank rusted thru on the left side. The carbs was full of who knows what. The tires are dry rotten. The 2nd co-worker got the bike running again some what. Then he got a job in Co. He did not want to take the bike with him, because it would cost too much to fix it and to ship it.I said, I will take it and he gave it to me.
I got the tank fixed, and painting it chrome yellow. I think I might paint the wheels the same. The carbs are cleaned. Put a dynojet kit in them. Got a new kerker exhaust on it. New battery. And it runs real good now.
Going to put Michelin Pilot Powers on it. Thinking of making it in to a track bike. Cheaper than running my RC 51 on the track.

Interesting story. A CB-1 run in corn fields and creeks! Yikes!

Thanks for putting this site up. You're doing a lot of people a great service.
The CB-1 is my first bike and I love it! Having a forum for it is a real bonus.
