Hello and a quick introduction,
My name is Scott Mattern and I live in Hacienda Heights, California. I have been involved with motorcycles since my first bike in 1969, a Gemini SST...a real POS. However bad it was, it started me on my mechanical carrear that has led to many interesting experiences including working as a professional racing mechanic. My main hobby for the last eleven years has been Land Speed Record competition with the SCTA, and I have been lucky enough to set two records with my '94 Honda RS125 and work with several other friends with both motorcycles and cars at El Mirage Dry lake and Bonneville. I am looking to build a bike to run in the 500cc class and have identified the CB-1/CBR400RR engine as my best starting point, so now I am looking for a complete bike (crashed or not) or just the engine and ancillaries.  Any help or leads in this direction will be greatly appreciated!

Hey Scott!  Welcome to site!  My name is Peter.  I am in Michigan.  I have been racing My CB-1 since 2000. In 2003, I got invites to the WERA GNF in D Superstock and Superbike, and the Vintage 6 lightweight class.  Had top 14 finishes. In 2004 in those same classes, I had top 9 finishes, with a 4th in Vintage 6 class.  What organization are you racing with?  Its uncommon today of a 500cc class.
