I just got this one back fro the painter in time to give it to my Girlfriend for Christmas. She likes it. You can read the whole story on my blog . or just look at these pictures.

The bike looks great. Did you put on the tank decals? The white paint with decals is really nice!

Yeah I went with decals. The color scheme is based on her favorite handbag. It's zebra print with a hot pink liner.

Everything but the "honda" logos are on top of the clear coat. This is intended as stepping stone of a bike so in the interest of the resale all the pink and zebra can just peel off. Leaving an understated white and silver scheme.

Make sure you get her as many oppportunities as possible to ride other bikes before giving up the CB-1. My new ride (07' ZX6R) is likely going up for sale if my first thousand miles is a good indicator. It is without a doubt the best handling bike I have ever been on by far now that I have all the suspension settings dialed to my liking BUT in order to get the same fun factor from it as you do with the CB-1 you are in the twilight zone for speed.

On the dragstrip you barely grab third gear. The laws here in Ontario having changed last Sept, it is just way too easy to have the bike impounded and earn a license suspension. Pull the front wheel off the ground and it can cost you $2600 to get your bike back out of impound one week later, minimum $2000 fine (plus $5000 if you argue with the cop ), 100% surcharge on your insurance for three yrs.  Same penalty applies for 50km/h (30mph) over the limit.

While it is still possible to earn one of these tickets on the CB-1, it is a LOT less likely.

I'm sure your girlfriend will enjoy the bike. She got a great Christmas gift from you.

No thanks. I don't have any cars. I especially wouldn't go for that one. So we broke up. It took her a while to make the decision but she gave the CB1 back to me. I would rather she kept it as it was a gift but she couldn't really afford the cost and upkeep. Plus she wouldn't ride it enough to keep it in good shape and justify the cost. Rather than let it go to some vulture on Craigslist for an easy grand, she just gave it back to me.

I took all the decals off, so now it's just a white "mystery Honda" . I ride it a couple times a week. Throwing it around knowing it's not somebody else's bike if even more of a hoot. I was pit bitch for my new girlfriend's track day on Wednesday . (Infineon Raceway) I have my First Track day later on this year at Buttonwillow. I'm dying to take the CB1 to the track. It has rounded out my collection nicely.

Consider this a warning... Taking a CB-1 to a race track will cause you to not sleep and to daydream every other hour about how much fun you had while there!!!  Even in stock trim, if you keep the revs above 10 grand, you will occasionally question if you are on the same bike that you left the pit area on!  The CB-1 is a blast on a race track!  If you thought the CB-1 was fun before... OH MY!!!  Welcome to the addiction!!!

hi ave just recently bought a cb 1 but the engine colour abit rusty i just want to know what colour/paint you used on your bikes engine.

WOW  It has been so  long since I have posted those Pics. The bike has been great. I have moved on though and now have a wife who rides the wheels off the little CB-1 often. My wife has now moved up to a bigger bike as well. The SV1000 is moving her more and more. I need to clear some space in tha garage so this CB-1 will be for sale by the weekend. I'll post it here in the for sale section.
