I was the previous owner of this bike.  Ken, you're not doing it justice in your description!

Being a 1990; it was the faster of the 2 years...
It's low miles, very low miles; Ken, go get the exact numbers.
The aftermarket exhaust isn't the typical rusting Kerker system; that's the sudco ontario street full system; you can pack it if it's too loud for you, but it sounds absolutely beautiful without; your neighbors may have a different opinion on that as you pull out of your drive at 13,000 rpm. Wink
The jet kit is the Factory kit and is well-matched to the pipe.
I believe it had the factory service manual as well.
The bike is a 90, but you'll notice that it has a center stand.
This would be an all-original bike; no fork swapouts or oddball parts (sans for the very useful fairing); never was a track bike, never abused.

[new content here]
for the electrical parts; Ken may have to chime in here, but the spares I gave to him included the computer/CDI spark-box as well as coils.  the spark-box especially is a very pricey part; i purchased it new to have as parts availability started drying up...just in case.  I figured everything else that could go wrong with it could easily be sourced in some manner.  coils were about $80 each and the CDI was about $300 if memory serves me.

The only reason I let the bike go in the first place was I never found enough time to ride it and Ken takes care of his bikes like I do.  I was sad to see it go; but it needed a home where it could be enjoyed.

To all that have owned this CB-1, Smiley  it is a beautiful 1!  The centerstand and kickstand did throw me off, for a moment. I know the 89's had centerstands and the 90's did not, on the US CB-1s. I do have a question. What made the 90's faster than the 89's?  My understanding is that for the 2 yrs they were sold here in the States, the only differences between the two years were cosmetic.  The 89's had centerstands and grey decals. The 90's had kick stands and red decals.

Sorry, bit of an inside joke regarding the faster years.  When I was the caretaker of this machine, I used to hang out on the mailing list at cb-1.com; there was always a schism on that list between those of the 89 mindset and the 90 owners.  Each claimed their year was the fastest of the two.

It was akin to oil or tire threads on many lists; kind of the 3rd rail you touch if you want to start a fire.

It really pissed off the owners of the 89's, mostly because they knew, in fact, that the 90 was MUCH faster; I assume that's why the protested so much. Wink

LOL Funny you mention that!  I always thought the red decals on the '90, made it look faster than the grey ones on the '89!  Its a beautiful bike!  Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor! I have no idea how you even managed to part with it!  I would still be in therapy!  lol

I have heard nothing but great things about the Ontario exhaust system!  Back in the mid 90's, I contacted Sudco, who distributed for Ontario, regarding an Ontario Race Exhaust system. I was told that the Ontario headers were the best  Months before that call, they sold a large part of their inventory to a business in New Jersey.  I contacted them, and they said had a semi trailer full of parts and was sure to have a few of those exhaust systems. Unfortuneatly, they did not call after they said they would sort thru the trailer. I never heard back from them, and when i called, i got no answer...

Yea, I agree, the '90's are faster!  LOL  Good one!  Cheesy

I will grant you that the 90 CB-1 may be .001 secs faster in the quarter mile but if you ever checked out the handling of the 89 you would never go back. The 90 feels like a loaded barge in comparison. Grin

I guess I should be racing an '89, and not a '90!  LOL

my 90 came with a centerstand, kickstand, and the red decals Huh  i think it was an optional accessory in 90.  hondaline

Looks like the bike is sold, I just cashed a check today for it.  I'll miss it!  It was my wife's learner bike, but I liked it more than she did.

A 2000 19-1/2' Alumacraft fishing boat with a 200 HP 2 stroke Yamaha motor.   Grin  Actually we are selling 4 (2 down, 2 to go) bikes to help pay for it.  She still has her Suzuki DR200 dual sport.

I hate when people put fairings on the CB1.  Dont try and make it something its not.  Its a naked sports bike.  I think thats good enough
