My old CB-1, which I stupidly sold in the mid-90s, was an '89.  But I'd consider a '90, too.

Looking for something stock or close to it, no dented tanks or banged up instruments, etc.  I might consider a beater that needs a paint job, suspension upgrades, etc., iff it has not been wrecked and still runs properly.

Prefer something I can easily check out in person.  I live in Northern Virginia.

And NO, I will NOT pay $5,000!  (Eliminates that Baltimore bike from the market pretty quickly.)

Let me know what you have

I was in the exact same boat recently - had sold my beloved 89 back in the mid 90's, regretted it every moment since, and finally came across a low miles 89 for sale via the CB-1 mailing list that I recently picked up.

My recommendation would be to join that list and participate in the conversation and in that way put yourself in position for the next -1 that comes available.  The CB-1s sold from that list are almost always lovingly owned and maintained, as it is a group of devotees who understand what this bike is all about.

Good luck on your search, and stick with it!  I love being a CB-1 owner again.
