I got my pump from a scrapper on E-bay for about £30 it came off a VF750 but was the same pump with a different "rubber band" around it.Are you sure the pump is broke, when mine went wrong the fuse for CDI unit blew every time I tried to start up and I was going to replace that but this stopped when I unplugged the pump. The pump only runs when the engine is turning (or starting). I'd reccomend wearing some goggles or specs pulling fuel lines cos the petrol in yer eye stings like a bitch..

this one is on e-bay right now

thanks for your help that pump wasnt on there when i checked the other day so i have emailed the seller to see if he will end early (i often lose at this bidding thing) and am currently high bidder on an ntv pump from germany.
definately is the pump, left me sat on the side of a motorway for three hours waiting for breakdown company who said it was somthing to do with the ignition system, so when i got home naturaly i ignored the AA n tried throwing a bit of petrol down the carbs and she fired imediately, took the pump off n cleaned contacts etc and it is working now but still having its moments so replacement is the only option, got a 160 mile round trip to make now so fingers crossed and if i break down again (this bike had a new engine from my cb1 project two weeks ago) i will probably be on here preaching hatred against honda lol
wish me luck  Smiley

I've got one you can have for £25.

BTW; If you bypass the pump and keep the tank over half full, you can still use the bike Wink
