Very sweet. I love those handle bars. Is that some sort of riser kit, or did you swap out the front end with something?

Very nice custom CB-1. Looks like you have raised the forks and have preload adjusters? I agree with Moto that the bars are nice. I also like the tailpiece. Did you have any trouble getting by the TUV?

The on the road pics are good. You are dragging knee with no problem. What tires do you have?

Hi All,
the Adapters for the HandleBar is from ABM

http://cgi.ebay.de/CB-1-NC-27-Superbike-Lenker-Umbau-ABM-CB-1-NEU_W0QQitemZ190232140736QQihZ009QQcategoryZ49794QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The Handlebar itself is from Spiegler .

All is with TÜV (everything the TÜV can see  Wink )
The only Changes at the FrontFork are the WP-Springs. Nothing more.

At the Pictures I use Metzeler ME Z1, but unfortunately the are not available anymore at the Size I need. At the Moment I use Pirelli Sport Demon, bringing the Knee to the ground is no Problem but the Performance is a lot more worse that to the Metzeler.
I think I'll change to Bridgestone BT45 next Season, I used them some years ago and was really happy with them.

Good job, I like the grips and what you've done with the headlight. it's quite difficult to get an aftermarket light to look good on a lot of bikes, you've done well. Must say though, that full fairing looks brilliant - what is it off Huh Or is it an aftermarket one made for the CB-1?

If you liked the Metzelers, then you should try a set of the Metzelers Rennsports.  I raced a set of those and there are great tires.  Mostly I race Pirelli Dragon Supercorsas.  I would suggest you go to a 150/60 size tire for the rear.  It fits on the stock rim with no problem.  Its wider and you will like it!

There was one time when I needed new tires and my supplier was out of 110/70s, so I bought a 120/70 and it was fine.  The only difference with the 120/70 was that I could not get all the way over to the edge of the tire in the corners.  That was fine with me, and it did not hurt my lap times.  If it will help you, I will give you my permission to use a 150/60 size rear tire!  Smiley  I have raced that size tire for 6 yrs with no problems.  Have the Department of Transpotation of Germany call me and i will give them a thumbs up for the 150/60!  Smiley

Hi ptlcb1:
The Problem is not to get Tyes in 120/70/17...

The problem is the german Law. In need a piece of Paper that says that this Tyre fits for my Bike. I think the european Guys here know a little bit of the fucking german TÜV (it's a technical Test for every Car and Bike, you have to do every 2 Years).

And if the Police stops you with your Bike and it's not in the Condition the Vehicle Type Approval and the last TÜV-Test says, it's a little bit expensive and you can loose youre Driving License for at least one month.

If I wnat to change Tyres different to the original ones, I need something from a Tyre-Company that says that the Tyre fits to the Bike, than I have to get the Tyres, mount them, go with the Bike and the Paper from the Tyre-Company to the TÜV and let them Test if everything is like the Tyre-Company says in the Piece of Paper and after that I have get my Vehicle Type Approval correct by Vehicle Registration Office...

WOW!  I am now thankful that we dont have to do all of that here in the States.  If you were going to road race your CB-1, would you be able to use different size tires?  Does that process with the TUV only apply to tires?  What do they say about steel braided brake lines?

Thanks to european Law's it became a little bit easier in the last years.
For germany that means:
little Changes like Lights, Exhaust-System The Part needs only to be tested by the Company if it fit's to european Law and the Part must be stamped with a so called E-Number

E11 H C/R
Means testetd in Great britan (E11) as Frontlight: low beam, High beam (C/R) with a Halogen Bulb...

Then you can have Parts that are tested by the Company for this Bike and are not Safety-relevant. There you'll get a Piece of Paper from the Company that it's ok.

But for all Safety-relevabnt Part like Brakes, Tyres, Shockabsorbers you'll have to do the TÜV-Procedure...

The fairing in the first pic looks a lot better than this one. This one doesn't even appear to fit - look at those massive bars Lips Sealed
That's a real bummer about the TUV laws, I wonder how I would get on with my RD350, they would probably have to lock me up.  Cheesy  I was talking to someone from Switzerland the other night and he has the same problems with fitting aftermarket parts, is it the same if you own a bike registered in the UK?

If you have you first Address in UK and life in Germany maybe for only 1 Year ore so, you can left your bike registrsdet in UK and the UK Law counts for you....

If you want to stay in germany for longer and move your first address to Germany you must registrate your bike in Germany
and german Law is for you...

@Drewski.... I took this ugly fairing and modified it....
