$700 CB-1 Find - My first Bike

I found her on craigslist. I thought it was rare because I've never seen one before. It was for sale for 10 hours when I looked at it and had to fight off other waiting to see it, I got there early and purchased it usure of its condition. I was able to jump it and turn the motor over so I knew the motor wasnt froze and electrics we're fine. It sat for 7 years in a garage, so the fuel system was shot but the bike looked pretty good. I spent all weekend cleaning out the old gas and rebuilding the carbs and finally got her running pretty good. I rode it today for the first time and all seems well.
It needs tires, a fuel pump, fresh oil, fork seals, plugs, clear coat on the tank (the clear is flaking) and small odds and ends. I realized it was so rare when I started looking for parts! Im using bikebandit.com for the fuel pump, hoses, decals, seals, etc...Im excited! and love the bike. Im also ordering tires and wondered if the 150/60/17's will work in place of the 140's
I plan on doing little to zero customizing, I want to keep in in stock form. Here aer the pics bringing it home, hope you like her.

That smurf color blue gets them everytime!!! LOL Congrats on a great find!! How many miles are on it? It looks to be in great shape! Sounds like a normal list of things to do, for a bike that has been sitting for as long as it has. A 150/60 will fit in the rear with no problem.

Thanks, I admit I kinda like the smurf blue...Its in very good shape, seat looks new, has 12k miles. Just needs some touch ups and a cleaning. The pic makes the tank look better than it is really, It really needs new decals and a new clear coat.

I agree. The blue got me, along with the fact that its engine came out of the CB400RR from Japan. Its like having a ferrari on two wheels! Not many people know what the CB-1 is, so it gets looks no matter where you go! At the track, people always come up and ask me what is that??? Its nice having a bike that is not the norm.
If you do a search on here for the decals, within the last few months, a member on here was making them and had them for sale. The only thing I did not like about the tank decals, was that they didnt have the Honda Wing, but I added them to my bike!

Ok great, I was on bike bandit last night and they had the decals for 23 a piece, now its greyed out, like their out. Expensive for two decals.
I've noticed their is not many (if any) 150/60/17's they are all 150/70/17...im assuming that size would work as well?

Yes, the original stickers are expensive. I have no idea about the 150/70. You will have to ask one of the tire manufactorers that question. I always run Pirellis and they have always had them. The one time they did not, they had a 150/60 Metzeler. They are the basically the same tire as the Pirelli. Same company, two different divisions... The Metzelers were equally as good...

I got the dunlop roadsmart 150/70/17, seems like a good tire, we'll see how it fits.
