Hi i'm a new comer to this site was looking for a manual and stumbled across it. i've got a 91 CB-1 for two months unbelievable machine. My first bike was a suzuki AX100 an other bomb proof engine and i put it through the mills. I've got a few q's bout the CB-1 though;#1. Does it come standard with a center stand
#2. I Need a new exhaust, the one on it is not standard (pics on attachment) Where is a good place to get them and does anyone have suggestions as to what i should be looking for?
and finally #3. Does anyone know the part number for the air filter? what ever genius had it before me decided it would run better without one and i haven't been able to find the right one!
I appreciate any help and looking forward the conversation!

Ya it was a great weekend and the bike had no problem with the weight, acted as if it wasn't there. Thanks for the welcome.

Hi, not too many aftermarket pipes around for the CB-1 I'm afraid. Probably the best is the old Kerker system. I'm not sure if they're still available, you might have to order one and wait a few months for it to be made. I was real lucky and picked a new one up from Japan - still in the box Cool Are your downpipes usable? If so, you might be able to find a link pipe and end can. If your after a standard set up, I'll be selling the system off my bike soon. Trouble is, as it's a one piece system, post might be hefty. IMO the standard system is better than average quality - being made of stainless steel. Sounds pretty good too.

Air filter number is 17210-KAF-000 but be warned, they're not that cheap either. There's a post on this or the other CB-1 forum somewhere about how to make your own element but you'd need the old filter to use the body. Again, I've got a new filter here, (once more picked up for a fraction of the cost in Japan), so I'll be chucking my old one out if you want it?
This is what it looks like:-

Hope this helps, Drew.

Is there any cb-1 ride out weekends in England that you know of i don't know of any over here!

Someone tried to organise one a few months back on the other forum but it never happened - you've got to remember that there's not a lot of CB-1s about and most of us are dotted all over the UK. I might give it another go, could be a giggle. A lot of the pipes available in Japan are pretty poor quality, but priced to match. Like I say, you might be better off getting yerself a seperate silencer and putting your own system together. Titanium cans sometimes go relatively cheap over there esp if you get one with a ding and just turn it round so the dent doesn't show Wink. I'll have a looksie and see what's on there right now.

BTW, one thing to be careful of if buying from Japan - make sure the customs form is filled in properly. If you're not careful, duty can be more than the item cost in the first place. Parcelforce rip people off by charging a processing fee and are given carte blanche how much they charge Angry

Probably not a great idea to post a link to another CB-1 forum on here but if you google "CB-1 forum" you should find it ok. I think the busiest are probably the German CB-1 forums - how's yer German?  Cheesy

The bike it's on is burried behind another two, I'll get it out at the weekend when I get chance and get some pics for you. From what I remember, it's in good condition with no dents etc.

Sorry 91cb-1 - it's peeing it down outside and don't fancy uncovering everything for it just to get wet. I might still have some pics I took when I picked the bike up but they were from my phone and not sure if they are of the exhaust. Otherwise, if weather & work permits, I'll get it out tomorrow if you're still interested., (or later today if the rain lets up.  Going price is about £80 - £100 for a good exhaust I think in case you're wondering how much I'd want. If you're already sorted, please e-mail us to let us know so I don't get the bike out unnecessarily Wink

Cheers, Drew

Nice one. It was pretty miserable out there today. If you don't mind me asking, how much was the post, (if it was from the UK). It's handy to know for future reference Wink
