tire talk

I've been using Shinko sport tourer lately, last a long time, handle well, cheap, H-rated....perfect for the huge amount of riding I do, cheap enough for the city with enough stick for some twisties....not the race track.

I'm looking to change, anyone ride the Pirelli Diablo tourers or the IRC RX-01 sport tourers.

Anyone ride either of these?

I have had the Pirelli Diablos on for about 10K km now and I am very happy with them. The rear is pretty squared off now and it is starting to become noticable on turn in but not uncomfortable.

The grip has been very good and the handling predictable. They were priced below the Michelin and the Bridgestone when I bought them.
I wish that they were available in a 140/70 rather than the 150/60 but there are not a lot of sport tourer tires in that size.

It has been suggested by a bike mechanic/track rider friend that I try the new Bridgestone BT016. He is a very skilled rider and really loves the tire. Three compound construction for great grip and long wear. They are available in the 150/60. When it is time at the end of this riding season to mount new tires I think I will try out a set if they are not ridiculously priced.
