Winter project revealed!
«

bought my CB-1 in May, 2008 with 9750 miles on it!
And here is the finished project after paint(silencer, headers, frame, tank & plastics), Givi screen, new grips and mirrors from my Speed Triple.
I'll post some better pictures this weekend.
Next winter I'll paint wheels black (maybe from forks?) and finish some of the frame. Maybe Ceramic the headers (if I don't dell it). I love commuting on this bike!

Very nice! Is that the color Ford sprays on some Mustangs and F150s? I thought about doing my Ranger up that color.

Very nice look.
I have been planning on painting my frame black as well.
Is yours painted or powdercoated and may I ask how much it was ?
(I'm getting some crazy quotes out here in California)
Again, nice looking bike.

Wow, I appreciate the feedback gang. I had a lot of time on my hands (ACL Tear). I'm going to finish posting my pics tomorrow when I get my memory stick back, but I'll answer some of the questions posted.
ABullock91: The colors are Lexus IEO 704353 Variation H (Grey) & Infiniti AX5 86126, but a lot of the grey's are similar. The Lexus Grey had a really nice "complexion" of metallic.
Kai Ju: It was easier then I thought. There's really no need to paint anything covered by the side covers and rear body work so it's a matter of grinding (rust) sanding & solvent to remove fingerprints, etc. Then, mask & spray. The paint I used for the frame was Dupli-Color High Performance Wheel Coating (comes out really nice), Krylon Fusion for Plastic for the clocks & VHT Flame Proof Header Paint for silencer and headers (still needs the final cure). The cost for the frame was about $30 bucks for material.

i wanted to do my frame black but thought i would have to take the whole bike apart. You saying you did the frame without taking anything major off? Looking forward to more pics

sprayed the frame on an old katana once, thought we could save time by not taking to many things off, did not come out like it should have, i prefer to take that extra effort and time to get the results, but if your satisfied then its all good.

TCD2004, I opened a new post with better quality pictures. "Part II, Winter Project". I took off the following (you can see in pictures)
1) Tank (good time to flush radiator and replace air filter)
2) Silencer / Headers
3) Radiator & Fan
4) Foot Pegs
5) Rear Body
5) Side & Front Covers
After that it's a matter of intelligently masking the appropriate areas. Honda did us a favor here by creating a smooth line to follow for the part of the frame that shows to the public. It's really very easy once you're in there.
