I admit it, i tend to like odd ball things. I've owned a moto guzzi, triumph, MZ, honda hawk. So part of the appeal of the CB-1 was it's oddballness. Plus it is a fun bike! Being in America challenges this at times as many manufacturers do not bring their full model line into the US.

So I found a new odd ball bike that intrigues the heck out of me. A Suzuki Goose 350. It seems Suzuki over 15 years ago stuffed a dirt bike motor into a light chassis. Does anyone have any experience with them? I'd love to hear how they ride and feel.

I looked at the goose at the same time I was looking at the cb-1.  I never got to ride one, but the one thing I did notice which put me off was the build quality of the ones I saw.  Nothing lined up, and it felt cheap and tacky.  They main reason I looked at them ( and a few others I guess) was that they were 33bhp as standard - which was what i was supposed to be restricted to at the time.  It did'nt take long for me to come to my senses and get the cb-1 tho! Cheesy:D:D:D

there was one on eBay in scal. It was a pure track bike that looked like it had been used. But it got me to start researching. I'm still intrigued but they were never officially imported into the US

I think they had a few reliability issues. Not sure if they were oficially imported to the UK or not but there's certainly not many around. The Goose has the same front end that i used for my RZ hybrid and a lot of them here get pulled apart for the same reason.

I had the MZ Skorpian sport. Yamaha 5 valve 600. I bought it for my little sister to learn to ride on. She never took to it - so I took it back and rode it for a year as my back up bike. Sold it to a woman getting into racing. It was a fun little bike. But it was all about momentum. I would keep up with my buddies on modern sport bikes, if I ignored the brakes and railed the corners.

I use to race against an MZ Scorpion.  Didnt see him much, because race bikes dont have rear view mirrors...  Smiley
