Good thing too! I have two days with Jason Pridmore starting Monday.

Updates did not go completely as planned. The exhaust is still stock. There is a problem with the Kerker I have. Apparently the exhaust ports on cylinder 1 and 4 are angled out just slightly. The Kerker I have is set flat across all four cylinders. We are going to get them welded at an angle to fit - but that will come later. Therefore we did not really re-jet - just clean the carbs. We'll get into jetting when we do the pipe.

I'm very happy we replaced the bearings. The swing arm bearings had notches in them and did not move smoothly at all. The rear wheel ones were bad too but not as bad. Steering head and front wheel were okay - but still glad I did them.

I still need to track prep it and get some seat time in on it before monday.

I finally got my first real ride in. What a hoot! It is like riding a swarm of angry bees! The sound is absolutely unique. I spent 90% of the time above 9000 rpm.

I like the character of the bike much better than my old Hawk GT.

Nice observation!  Above 9 g's is where my bike lives and its almost like waking up an evil twin!

Or think of it like this...from idle to 9 grand, the CB-1 is like the girl you bring home to meet mom!  Above 9-10 grand its like that hot brunette you meet at the club, that you know your mom would not approve of!  LOL

There are a couple of maintenance things I need to do now that I have ridden it. All the cables are stiff. And by stiff I mean the clutch pull is much harder than my old Ducati! I can't get the exact snap I like out of the throttle either. So I have an order in to replace all the cables. Once I do this all the work left is cosmetic.
