I'm about to order a new front tire (bt-45) and just wanted to clear something up.  I looked in the service manual and the stock tire size is a 110/70/17, I looked on my bike and I currently have a bt-45 110/80/17.  The place I'm ordering from doesn't even list 110/80/17 as a size but they do have the 110/70/17.  Just trying to make sense of this before I order.  Is the 110/70/17 the one I am supposed to run on the front?

Hey Ty,   The 110/70/17 is the right size tire. The 110/80 does sound odd, but there are a multitude of sizes out there. It may have been the only one available at the time that would fit.

I thought so as well. I found that the bt45V is available in a 110/80/17 but I decided to order the regular bt45 in 110/70 since I am running the stock size on the back as well.

Not too confuse you... lol, but I have raced with a 120/70 on the front and had no issues whatsoever.  That is the standard size for all bikes of today.   But I agree with the others, 110/70 is what you should go with.  Smiley
