Looks like you are really having fun on your new toy!
I can't wait till my new tires are on. I got my CB1 about a month ago and have been riding since then on the original tires. They look perfect but they are harder than the asphalt . I ordered new Pirelli Diablo Corsa's but they have given me the runaround saying that "they messed up the order, they aren't here yet"

It is getting harder to resist the temptation to ride a little harder in the turns cuz the CB1 is such a fun, light flickable bike. Roll Eyes

How does the extra preload feel? Does it help to decrease the tendancy to dive heavily under even moderate braking? That is the one thing that I would like to help out on the bike. The braking must be done early to allow the bike to settle and take a set for corners. I'm sure it will not get better with new sticky tires. How did you add preload to the forks?

Super easy deal for extra preload in the forks......go to your local hardware store plumbing department.  Take your spring spacer and get a close match with PVC pipe or plastic pipe connectors.  You simply cut sections of plastic pipe to length and install them just below your top caps.  I needed about 1 inch pieces for my 150lb rider weight.  I used 15 weight fork oil.  Might go to 20 weight.  The spring rate is still mushy, but im to cheap to pay the price for progressive aftermarket springs.  Im lookin towards a pair of F3 fork legs instead.

Im runnin some old IRC Winner tires, who knows how old ?  Amazingly they stick quite well in 90 degree heat  Huh  Will switch to Michelin pilot powers with the dual compound someday this fall.

Quite suprised I can drag the peg feelers with these tires and this still somewhat unsorted suspension ??  She sure makes some "Honkin" noise when wound up tight through the intake.

Its nickname is  "KIBBY" the electric blue sewing machine !!   Grin
