She started life as an '89 CB-1 US model. We'll see where time and expendable cash will take us.

 Thanks!

I'm still dailing in that air filter you sent, but I can already feel the increase in acceleration. Not cruising smooth yet ( more fuel methinks ), but man does she scream up to speed!! Yeah!
Here are a couple more Pics.

Sweet!   Grin  Yes, its breathing in, a whole lot better now!  Its amazing how restrictive the stock paper filter is.

Great job cleaning up the sub-frame!  Any idea how much weight you saved?

That's a great looking -1.  Really like what you've done with relocating all the components and cleaning up the frame

About 6 lbs.
Hey, what size and type of jet are you using? I've put in the 108 Dyna-jet, but I think I may need to go to a 110 or 112 Keihin.

A lot of work. About 2 1/2 months worth.
I couldn't find a solo seat setup I liked so I bought some ABS sheets (2'x 4') and started molding. After 5 tries I got what you see in the pics. The pics don't show the small waves in the ABS, but riding season was coming! So this may not be the last tail I make now that I know what to do and all the frame and wiring is done  Grin.
Cleaning up the subframe went fast in comparison. That was just grinding, cutting, sanding and painting. I did fill in the lower tube ends where they meet the upper tubes.
The seat pan was made from the ABS and the padding is neoprene foam. The seat I'm still tweaking, a little wide in the front and along the tank for my liking. The neoprene is a little firmer than the stock seat foam but not too firm. And the seat cover was cut and sewn like the stock cover and made with marine vinyl.
The wiring was the most fun Tongue. Once the component layout was made I bet I cut 10 to 15 feet of wire out of the harness! I could have saved a little more space by losing the turn signal relay but I saved it in case I see something I like down the road.
Overall I was happy with the look but I'm 90 to 95% with the fit and finnish.
Oh yeah, the work you can't see is in the front. The forks are rebuilt, new seals, bushings and Gold Valves. I also replaced the neck bearings with Timkin style bearings and put in a grease fitting ( I should get a pic of that, uh).
I'm not done yet, but until the season is over I'll have to stop.
