I own 2 actually  Grin  He says he is desperate... I would not want him to jump off a building or anything!  Just wanted to hear his reason for wanting one so badly...

He now has a chance to get one!  A guy just posted one on ebay.  He posted it in the FOR SALE section on this site.  It looks good!  Its probably around 6 to 8 hrs drive.  Its put up or shut up time now...

I'm a returnee, middle aged 'biker'....just like the ones you see on the "Stockbroker" / Mid life crisis films.  I've run a blue-printed VFR750, quite a bit of old Brit Iron, modern Hinckley Bonnies, have run out on a CBF1000, had a Transalp 650 & tried the new Triumph Sprint ST.

Having just bought Keith's immaculate CB-1 mentioned in an earlier For Sale Ad, I can see why he's so keen  Wink

Not that there is anything wrong with that...

Sprunghub,
CB-1s are great bikes, no doubt.  I have said for a long time, that I think its one of the best bikes that Honda has produced!  Guys that have had them before, mostly wish they still had them.  All of us that own them, have different reasons for owning them.  I was just wondering if cdawg414 has owned for before, or is now in a position to buy one because he has always dreamed of owning one... Who knows...

What year is your blue-printed VFR750?

1986, first year in the Uk, FG, specially commissioned in JPS Racing colours.  Sadly now sold on, long story....should never have done it.....

I remember the John Player Special paint job from the Formula One days...way back in the day!  If my memory is correct, I think Mario Andretti drove for them at one point.  I could be wrong, that was quite awhile ago.  Smiley

I cant say I know the feeling of wishing you did not sell it.  I had offers on my first CB-1, after they stop selling them here in the States, and knew that I would regret selling it so I didnt.  So I will not comment on how NICE, CLEAN and UNIQUE looking, your VFR was.  I would not want you to get that bottomless pit feeling in your stomach, by saying how SWEET your VFR is/was....   Roll Eyes

Just teasing ya!   Grin

C-Dawg here to clear the air.
1- not gay
2- owned CB1 before
3- desperate because it's spring, some of the best riding weather we get in the crappy state of Michigan
4- have cash in hand
BUT
5- not willing to jump at the first carrot dangled in my face, in fact I found the perfect CB1 for me and will be picking it up next weekend.
6- have been impatient all my life (I'm working on it)

Well, if you think you can get one running, mine's up for sale.  There's a thread in the tech forum with the specifics, so obviously it's no secret. I'll pass along whatever information I can and I'll throw in the manual...
