Haha, what do they charge for these?

Sadly the paint finish isn't reflected in the price. Beet stuff fetches a bomb in Japan, they must love it. Huh

This beet "Aero" mudguard is for sale for £380 GBP  Shocked

Hello Brian,

Is there a chance that the machine shop would produce any more metallic case covers?

Maybe some other folks would be interested in replacing the plastic disks, which sell for over thirty bucks a piece Shocked, with something more durable Smiley

Thanks.

Yes, the machine shop would be happy to make more. He already has the program setup. Mine cost $160.00 each. The more that are made, the less they cost per part.  I had three made at the $160.00 each price.

I am not a penny pincher when it comes to projects. I take them on very seriously because my bike is a hobby, not a necessity. When I get into a project, I jump in with both feet because if I cannot do it the way I want and envision it to be, I do not start. It may take a while for me to complete, but when it is done it is done right by my standards.

I would love to do this stuff as a business, building bikes from the ground up. Unfortunately, the only people that spend a lot of money on custom bikes are the Harley enthusiasts. A built CB-1, CBR400RR, VFR400R or RVF400R would most likely be scoffed at. To bad though, they are cool bikes and I have I know how to source what is needed for them.

I think when I am done with the CB-1 project, I may jump into a CBR400RR or VFR400R race bike project. I have to see how the CB-1 goes though. The CB-1 is a lot of fun to build and I know it'll be a hoot on the track.

I can definitely respect that.  I bought mine the end of last season and have loved every second of bringing it back to glory throughout the winter.  Make sure and put some pictures up when you get it finished

The project from start to finish will be up on my web site. Look at the thread PROJECT CB-1RR and you will see the start of it.

I've just been talking to a friend and I can get the sliders made up for £25 GBP, ($38 US) per set. Might be able to get them cheaper for a bulk order. Anyone interested?

He makes them to order so no pics as such, tho I could ask for pics of other ones he's made. I just showed him the pic above and he said "yes". He'd need some dimensions to work by, Brian, you got yours yet?

No, I have not received them yet. My stuff is still in Japan waiting on one part from Honda and then it will all get shipped to me.
