Hi folks,

I am desperate for a rear brake caliper piston and related seals.  I ordered them from a shop nearly 2 weeks ago and evey time they say they will have it in they say call back in two days. Its really starting to take the biscuit as I am leaving the area for good on the 4th June and need the bike to transport me.  If anyone can help I would be forever gratefull!?

Dam some shops really suck! After getting worried and having a good ol' dig on the world wide web I found the part in 5 minutes.  Can anyone give me some advice on getting the piston into the caliper.  The shop wants to chanrge me £10 to re-build it, is that worth it or should i do it myself.  My main problem is I have a limited selection of tools (2 toolbox's full) being at my dig's (uni house).  TIA.

Minty,
If you haven't done it before it's worth the tenner to have it done right. Save the learning for when you have more time to do the research.

Did it on my own in the end oldsmoker.  Was not to difficult and I seem to have done a good job.  Rear break is sweet now!
