Hi everyone, i've just bought my second CB1 and need to get new Crash mushrooms, as they did the trick well enough for the old one they're well busted, I've been looking everywhere and everywhere but there just doesn't seem to be any anywhere, I mounted my old ones on the engine mounting bolts, obviously had to get longer bolts but they did the job, does anyone know of an alternative model i can buy for that'll fit the CB1 i was looking at ones for the hornet 6, 9 and the CBF 1000 because they look like they mount onto the same place? any one have info or alternative method? Much thanks in advance.

I found a set for the 900 honet i just need to get 160mm engine mounting bolts instead of the 130mm that come standard as ours are 130 for the bike they wouldn't be long enough. thanks though i'll keep you in mind if it falls through

I don't mean to sound sarcastic but maybe you don't need them. I've owned my CB1 since 1990 and I've never layed it down. OK, it fell over the garage twice. I suppose if you're racing, your percentage of chance of crashing will go up.

Unfortunately i've had two offs, one was my own fault aqnd the bike went into a ditch tossing me off, crash bung saved the indicators and the tank from any damage, second was a taxi driver pullin a u turn in front of me, wet road shite tires, bike went down with me on it then high sided when it hit the taxi, i went ass over tits across his bonnet the bike got smashed on both sides and was completely written off, damage to the engine; a crack in the crank case cover! I would never ever ride a bike with out crash bungs, it's the difference between small cosmetic damage and writing your bike off all for the price of a good night out with the lads!

The first thing I have to say is: Wish I could hear you say all that in person. I can only imagine your Irish accent.
What a drag to be in those accidents. I hope you came out healthy. So I completely understand why you want to do everything possible to protect your motorcycle. Have fun on your new CB1. I've owned mine for 20 years, only replaced a fuel pump the whole time.
