honestly things couldn't be going better.

I love my job, The weather here in Oakland, California has been spec-fucking-tacular!! I have been putting miles and miles on the CB-1.

Housing prices dipped low enough for me to get one on my meager public servant's salary, so I have a proper garage to store my bikes in. I recently discovered and married the love of my life, who snuck away to Reno Fernley Raceway in Reno Nevada to get her Moto license.

Now me and Mrs. Motoproponent Spend a good portion of our time discovering and rediscovering the paved mecca that is Northern California and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Really, I'm living the dream Smiley

I spent sunday in a car from South Carolina, came home long enough to go to a friend's funeral, and then drove to Massachusetts. Spent 24 hours there, and drove home again. I've been home for 3 hours. If I have to get in a car again in the next three days, I'm going to burn my house down.

I finally popped a decent wheelie on the -1 a few days ago.  I must say, it felt pretty damn good.  I had it up for a good 3-4 seconds.... Grin

I take it you dropped the clutch?  What revs did you need to get it to to wheelie before you dropped it (the clutch) and roughly what speed where you going.   I am knowledgable of the proccess invloved but am wary of giving it too much and flipping it!

TIA

I am under the same weary umbrella but i did try it a few times, looked pretty daft i'm sure on the motor way slowin down to 1st and revin it to 10,000 to dump the clutch and get about half a foot off the ground for a max of 2 seconds Grin learning curves are great

Yea, had to drop the clutch of course.  I wish these bikes had enough power to pull off a power wheelie or something of sort.  I believe I had RPM's to atleast 8K or 10K rolling very slow in first gear.  The road surface seems to be important to prevent a burn out.  I'll try to get a vid. or pic up soon  Cheesy  Let me know how you do!!

Not big into wheelies or other stunts myself, prefer to keep both wheels stable underneath me Shocked Suffered through what seemed like an eternity of rain here in Vancouver. Weather has finally turned sunny but cool, great for riding and low and behold....I get hit by some stupid Chinese woman who stopped at a red light only long enough for me to start my turn and get in front of her before she decides to get back on the gas and roll through the intersection! Broken clutch lever, a few more scratches on the -1 and a broken wrist and bruises for me.

I am really starting to hate riding in this freakin city Angry

What a bitch...some (a lot of) people are fucking idiots.  If i've said it once iv'e said it twice, there is nothing common about common sense.  A shame really.  Glad your alright and hope you get the bike fixed soon.

Ya i been practicin i find if your rolling along at about 20kmph and just rev to bout 8/9 thou you'll pop a nice one! 11/ 12 thou and you run the risk of scaring the willies out of yourself jammin on the clutch and goin from a vertical position to horizontal position VERY fast potentially causing some sever pain in the nether regions! i find movin off from lights is good to do them, a you don't have alot of time to wait for the revs to climb too high. and of course you look very cool to everyone behind you Grin

Popped my first wheelie the other day, just let it roll to about 5-10 mph, pull the clutch, rev to about 8k, and drop it. Pretty fun, spent a while just going back and forth on an empty straightaway popping them.

Datta boyy!!  Tongue  I'm thinking you'd need to rev higher than 8K.  I do atleast.   Cheesy
