Finally got the cast removed
Wrist is completely healed just very stiff to move and I need to go pick up a clutch lever. So it will probably still be a week or so before I can ride and enjoy our balmy winter Olympic weather!

What kinda tires do you guys use? or is it just a case of putting chains on your tires? i'm guessing you suffer from the snow for a while so what do you do to combat this?

Geez, I weigh in at 103kg, would the CeeBee be able to lift the front wheel...
(Thinking about it, maybe it can since I have been able to run her into 12k rpm with a pillion -105kg + 67kg = 172kg - in 6th)
Obviously not with a pillion.
Maybe Ima try it this Sat...

Okay, I tried it today and, well it didnt go too well.
Picture this guy ahead of you at the traffic light, its about to go green and his revving his bike up, as the lights go green he launches forward next thing he is running with the bike ...
... What happens next is too embarrasing to talk about.
Damage: Right hand mirror; Front brake lever; Twisted chain, and the chain guard bracket broke from the swing arm.
I only suffered scuffed shoes, scratched knee, and a slight bruising on my shin. Not as bad as my Dented Ego though.
This weekend Ima try it again, just not in full view of the public

A bit of practice in an empty car park or empty road way is always advisable, and work your way up don't just rev the bollox off it and dump the clutch, work from 6k up on a slow roll. I'm really sorry to hear about your few scrapes.

Snow? Are you kidding? I live in nice mild Canada, doesn't get as cold here as it does in the UK...
Actually in Vancouver we don't get too much at all. If it does snow it usually only stays for a few days to a week. Lot's of rain though.
Right now I have Bridgestone Battle Axe BT-45's on it. They were on the bike when I bought last May and in great shape so no reason to change.

Popped my first wheelie the other day, just let it roll to about 5-10 mph, pull the clutch, rev to about 8k, and drop it. Pretty fun, spent a while just going back and forth on an empty straightaway popping them.
Datta boyy!!
I'm thinking you'd need to rev higher than 8K. I do atleast.
Might make for a bit more fun, I'll give it a shot next time I'm out, just waiting for tax returns to order my new rear. I'm thinking Dunlop 208 Supermoto, I have one on now, and I love it. Plus, they aren't terribly rough on the wallet.
