Traveling a long distance for the first time

I am going to the MOTO GP next month in INDY and its about a  5 hour ride, any precautions or suggestions before the trip, any must take with things??? I was thinking tire inflate can?? maybe oil???I got some saddle bags and a tank bag so storage should be good??
Any suggestions would be helpful

Seriously, I can't think of many things more boring than riding a motorcycle in a straight line for five hours. Also that's a great way to square your tyres off.

If you really are going to do it though, drinking water. Plenty of it, preferably in a stay-cool thermos container. Give yourself a break regularly. To be honest the CB-1 won't go much more than 120 miles without filling fuel anyway, but be sure to have a little walk around and maybe a snack when you stop, it'll help you stay focussed.

Give the bike a good going over before you start. Is the chain adjusted well? Take chain lube obviously. Are the tyre pressures right? Brake pads got plenty on them? Brakes grabbing and letting go OK? Plenty of oil and water in there? All bearings looking and feeling OK? Check the charging system if you can - running out of electricity is a real downer.

Here here, i've taken to listenin to music on the bike like a duck to water, only in one ear and only on boring main road jurneys but all the same it beats the shit outda bein bored to death with a sore arse for 200 miles of motor way

the trip went well!!!!!! with a pillion, 6 hours and the bike ran brilliant, was the only CB-1  there, great trip planning to go again next year don't want to be the only one there!!!!!!!!

Not sure how I missed you first post on this thread...  Congrats on a successful trip to the MotoGP race!  Glad to hear that all went well for you!  This reminds me of the one and only time I did a 3 hour endurance race, solo, on my CB-1!  All riders competing in this race, had to take a minimum 5 minute break, after each hour.  I was riding 45 to 50 minute sessions!  I ended up finishing 2nd to an R6!     That has been the most gruelling activity I have ever done!

Yes I have lots of pics on Facebook, we had a great trip, the bike ran awesome, with two passengers, it wasn't heavily packed, most of our luggage was in the car that traveled with us, Pussy's but it did make it easier on us. We got to meet alot of the riders with a paddock pass on Sunday after the race, Rossi, Pedrosa, Milandri, Elias, Edwards, Hayden, Simoncelli, the list goes on and on. they were all great Pedrosa wasn't very happy neither was Rossi but the still took pics and sign stuff for us.
