is changing to radials from the bias plys a non-issue? as in, i can just buy the radials and mount them up?

As long as they are both changed. Never mix them and you'll be fine. I sawiched from the original Bridgestones to Pirelli Diablo radials and am very happy with the result.

awesome! i was talking to a local vendor and he was trying to convince me otherwise...

i placed an order for the diablos, a lot of people seem to rave about them. 110f/150r

I think you will be happy with the change. Mine are 110-70 and 150-60 as well now.

I'm real happy w/ the Metzler M-3 110-70f/150-60r. M1 is better but dont last very long 1500 miles.
