Finally got out in the garage and took some pics of the CB-1.  Also installed a  Dominator twin headlights (ignore the mess of wires underneath, they've been tucked away behind the light now).  Real easy install, simply bolt it on and push the stock wiring connectors behind.  The pictures may not show off the twin lights but it really looks good in person and gives the CB-1 a modern styling, I'm very happy with the purchase (ebay ~$120USD).

Check out the custom (hand cut by me) carbon fiber tank sticker.
Also you can see the custom fiberglassed solo seat cover.

Unfortunately I don't know.  The bike came with them and it's just the peg that was changed out.  Most likely a universal billet set.

Tell me about the Dominator dual head lights. I really like those, ala Triumph Speed Triple, and have been thinking about doing that conversion. The stock sux cause the lo beam points  too low & hi is too hi. Any idea where to gettum or part#'s would be great. Is the mtg bracket custom. Close up pix would be really sweet.
Thanks

Tell me about the Dominator dual head lights...

The Dominator headlights are recommended often by many Suzuki SV650 owners.  They are direct bolt-on and no bracket modifications are needed.  Come in black, carbon fiber look or chrome housings.  I don't have a part number but if you go onto www.ebay.com and do a search on "streetfighter headlights" or "twin headlights", "dual headlights" they'll come up.  Prices vary from $120-$150 but if you wait you can find them for the low end price.  I bought them as they are street legal and have bright lighting.

No new pics yet but will post as soon as I can another set.  Dominators are 3.5" in size each.

Another option that may look more speed triple style is from www.aztec8.com .  They also sell on ebay for about $120+/-.  The aztec8 headlights are 5 1/4" in size each and come with bracket extensions as the entire setup is 10"-11".   I was strongly going to go with the aztec8 style as it made the bike classic looking, my buddies intervened and pushed to a more modern twin headlight style in the Dominator.

Good luck and post pics if you do the swap.

Just a small question...

With those new headlights mounted... where have you stashed the loom endpoints and plugs normally housed inside the stock headlight cover???

You sure it's not just the rear part of the seat that's been covered yellow?

Hey. I did that dominator headlight conversion too, last summer, I thought I'd share a couple things I learned/encountered.
- they aren't street legal in Canada. Europe yes, but not here.
- there is a fair amount of space to hide some of the wiring behind the front side covers, but it's really tight.
- you NEED to wire it with a relay (not included with kit) or you'll run into trouble. I ran the lights without a relay at first and it burnt out my right bar switch. Also my stator went soon after but that may be unrelated.
- even with a brand new stator my charging system can't keep up with the demand of running an extra headlight. Seems to be sending about 11.5 v back to the battery with 2 lights, 13.8-14.3 without if I remember correctly.

I'm doing an HID conversion right away in order to reduce the power demand of my lights and hopefully return to a happy electrical system.

Don't get me wrong. I love the lights. I'd do it again in a second. These are just a few things to prepare yourself for.
