I've replaced the seals in my front forks. My forks seem a little too soft, and there is now a slight grinding noise or clicking (very faint) that comes from the front fork on hard stops and then again when I take off and weight is taken off the fork. It's kind of strange and doesn't seem to happen all the time.

Is this due to low oil? or do I have something bigger going on here?

I assume the fork is pretty simple and the greatest amount of wear and tear on the inside would come from going up and down on the springs (wearing them out) or other motion which would wear out the seals (which I changed... one set this year due to a ding in my tube, but both last year).

So would having low oil (perhaps I made a mistake) cause some sort of damage to moving parts within the fork? Is low oil able to cause noise? or are we talking something else?
